Ms. Verble has longtime agricultural and communication experience. A former reporter for Texas newspapers, she was recognized for her reporting skill by Texas Press Women. Her career includes seven years with then Texas Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower. She served in various leadership communications positions during nearly eight years with the U. S. Department of Agriculture culminating in her appointment as director of the Office of Communications.
