Born and raised in rural America, our team at MY RURAL AMERICA has begun this website because we love rural America. We value independence and love our families. We cherish the great outdoors, its land and water. We believe in protecting nature so that it can remain as glorious as God made it.
We honor true patriotism. We believe truth and openness in government are necessary for us to remain free. We want our children to be safe and warm, growing up secure in a place where we value hard work and there is opportunity for people who work hard, are creative and adaptable to prosper, be happy and successful.
Living in rural America’s towns and countryside, we’re used to having our own tools – hammers, screw drivers and more, each with its own name. These tools make a difference in our lives. Other kinds of tools are also necessary, including affordable health care, access to high speed internet via broadband, safe and plentiful rural water, good roads and good public schools, a strong economy and a peaceful world … all good for our families to prosper.
We offer MY RURAL AMERICA’s website as a new tool intended as a means of assisting our readers to speak up for rural America about ongoing policy debates in Washington, D.C. We want to help you demand attention and support for the “bread & butter” issues that matter every day at the kitchen tables of America. Our voices – almost 60 million in rural America – can make the difference.
